It seems that its
true.
Big Brother really will be hosting our very own GG.
I'm lost for words what does Galloway think he can gain from this? Won't it hammer
Respects credibility further or is it a cunning plan to profile us for the May council elections.

This can't be happening. Not only will I now have to watch the programme (rather than sneer at those who watch it), but I'm not sure GG will come off too well. It's probably not the best arena for his talents and arguments(unlike the Senate). I haven't heard of any of the others (except Barrymore).
Maybe he'll be great, who knows. The whole (!) anti-Respect Galloway-obsessed left will be watching to catch him out in some hasty comment or remark. Watch Harry's place for details.
Anyway, good blog - found it via lenin's tomb.
Hiya Levien/Cliffite.
I actually think it is quite 'Leninist' for Galloway to go on BB -he knows that politics is about the millions - not just the thousands of existing Respect supporters...
Hopefully you're right the level of political debate in the house is probably low enough that he can start off free from peoples prejudices against him

Hey neat blog, no theres about a year and a half's worth of entries on there if yah scrolled down or looked or whatever. Manchester eh? You like football at all?
I realise the SWP are a major part of RESPECT but "our very own GG." ? Come on.
Not much it has to be said. Music and Politics with the occasional dip into books and film. Well cultured I am.
I said it elsewhere, but this precisely illustrates Lenin's old dictum about preaching politics from anywhere "even a pigsty". Good luck to George; it's a risk, but I suspect one (just about) worth taking.
(What, incidentally, are they going to dig up that everyone's so worried about? What have they possibly got? That he was a bit mean to Jodie Marsh? That he didn't do his share of the washing up? FFS.)
Spinning Crossrail. Bastards. Well, that's fucked it.
